As a kid, I didn't care for this scene and just wanted to see the dinosaurs and the T-Rex. Now that I'm grown up, I see this scene is very realistic with how humans have played God. This scene is probably how it would be debated in real life about the possibility of dinosaurs being brought back to life through science and if humans deserve to do such a thing. Like Malcom said. "Your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they never stopped to think if they should."

I just found this series and enjoy it tremendously. I’m a horse person and I do think they treat them a little rough, but I’m posting because I’d like to know who wrote the opening theme. It reminds me a lot of McCloud’s Daughter’s music. I believe one woman (can’t remember her name) wrote most of their music and their songs too. Anyone know?

I like the scene -- like all of Jurassic Park, barring the embarrassing "I know this, it's unix!" scene -- but Malcolm is wrong. Nature didn't "select out dinosaurs for extinction". They simply died, but just as well they could have survived, if the asteroid hit didn't happen or was slightly different. There is no "ought to" in nature. Animal species perish that might have survived just as well. There is no ordained plan.

I was married to Rodney Bell (Frank Blackwood) during the filming of the first two seasons. All the cast were totally lovely. Andrew Clarke was hilarious!
